Whats in a name?

We get asked so many times about our name.  It's a unique name, so we thought we'd explain where it comes from, and a little bit about who we are and what we're about.

Kill Devil Diesel, LLC is a small family owned business located just outside of Kill Devil Hills, on the outer banks of North Carolina. The name of the town was first printed on a map dating back to 1814, and much pirate superstition and lore surrounds the name of the popular vacation town. 



Kill Devil Diesel specializes in diesel engines and components of the highest quality, and we take pride in furthering the advancement of the diesel performance industry. We are humbled to collaborate with many great names in the industry such as:

Through our motorsports connections, we have access to many more, as well as our own house brand of products we make or have made just for us, such as KDD’s pushrods, valve springs, cylinder heads, camshafts, pistons, and much more. 

We have a background in diesel engine production and re-manufacturing, along with years of professional experience in the racing industry. We have over 10 years experience building diesel engines ranging from factory renewed engines to record setting magazine cover builds.

Founder Jared Alderson spent years in the high volume diesel engine reman industry before building 1400hp blown alcohol monster truck engines every day for none other than Monster Jam and Dennis Anderson's King Sling and Grave Digger Monster Trucks
