Engineered by engine builders, for engine builders, the Builder Series is designed for those who take pride in building their own engine but don’t want the uncertainty that comes with starting from scratch. We provide every critical component you need — all precision CNC-machined to the same uncompromising standards as our award-winning KDD engines — so you can assemble a powerhouse with confidence. Whether you’re chasing performance, reliability, or both, you’ll have our expert engineering behind you every step of the way. 

Each Builder Series Engine package comes with a fully machined and prepped block ready to assemble, a balanced rotating assembly (crankshaft, pistons, pins, rings, clips, bearings), KDD camshaft and lifter kit with chromoly pushrods, American made head studs ARP or P1), complete gasket set, and our commitment to help support you throughout the assembly process. 

S1 – Torque Series

For the owner who wants maximum reliability and torque for towing, daily driving, and longevity — without unnecessary complexity.

Features:

• KDD HD Cast Iron O-Ringed Cylinder Heads: Equipped with 100lb heavy-duty valve springs and stainless nitrided valves for unmatched durability.

• P1 or ARP Head Studs: Eliminate blown head gaskets with clamping strength for heavy towing and increased power. (ARP 2000 series, or P1 equivalent)

• Precision CNC Blueprint Machining: Fully machined and prepped block featuring CNC bore, deck, torque plate hone, and align honing for ultimate durability and superior ring seal - all blocks are magnafluxed and pressure tested to ensure no cracks or leaks, cam bearings and freeze plugs installed, ready to assemble. 

• Fully balanced rotating assembly, for years of smooth operation and long bearing life

• New Pistons, plus rings, bearings, and gaskets from a Tier 1 OEM supplier, factory Ford connecting rods.

• USA-Made Valvetrain – KDD's S1 Torque Series Camshaft engineered for stump-pulling low-end torque, quick spool up and lower EGTs, plus KDD’s USA-made Gen2 HD lifters and chromoly pushrods.

Performance Specs:

• Rated for 500 HP — ideal for daily driving, frequent towing, and mild upgrades (recommended for stock/mild setups.  From Stock to 155cc injectors, stock to KC S1 turbo setups).

S2 – Sportsman Series (Builder Kit)

For those wanting stronger internals and higher performance without sacrificing street manners.

Features:

• KDD Aluminum ICON Series O-Ringed Cylinder Heads with 100lb HD valve springs, perfect for higher boost/backpressure from larger turbos and injectors.

• P1 Heavy Duty or ARP 625 Series Custom Age Head Studs - Unmatched clamping force to eliminate blown head gaskets.

• Upgraded Pistons: Coated with KDD's proprietary Red Titanium coating to protect the piston from melting, for increased durability under higher heat and heavy load.

• Total Seal Piston Rings for maximum cylinder sealing under extreme conditions, virtually no blow by and less soot in the oil for longer engine life.

• USA-Made Valvetrain – S2 Sportsman Series Camshaft optimized for the 1000–4000 RPM powerband, with KDD’s Gen2 HD lifters and chromoly pushrods, plus updated Ford rockers with increased oiling.

• Precision CNC Blueprint Machining: Fully machined and prepped block featuring CNC bore, deck, torque plate hone, and align honing for ultimate durability and superior ring seal - all blocks are magnafluxed and pressure tested to ensure no cracks or leaks, cam bearings and freeze plugs installed, ready to assemble. 

• Fully balanced rotating assembly for years of smooth operation and long bearing life.

Performance Specs:

• Rated at 650 HP — perfect for daily driving, moderate towing, and spirited driving with supporting mods (KC S2/S3 turbo, Odawg intake manifold, up to 205cc/30% injectors).

S3 – Outlaw Series (Builder Kit)

The proven competition-level 6.0 platform — built for those chasing records and maximum power output.

Features:

• KDD CNC-Ported Aluminum ICON Series O-Ringed Cylinder Heads with 100lb HD/Performance valve springs and Nitro-Black stainless steel valves.

• P1 Heavy Duty or ARP 625 Series Custom Age Head Studs for extreme boost applications.

• P1 or ARP Main Studs to prevent main caps/bedplate from moving under extreme load!

• Coated Performance Pistons with soft-radius bowl and valve reliefs.

• USA-Made Wagler Connecting Rods for ultimate strength.

• S3 Outlaw Series Billet Camshaft for peak power while retaining some drivability.

• KDD Exclusive Jesel Valvetrain System – Forged steel shaft-mounted adjustable roller rockers + DLC-coated solid roller lifters - ready for 6000+ RPM track passes!

• Precision CNC Blueprint Machining: Fully machined and prepped block featuring CNC bore, deck, torque plate hone, and align honing for ultimate durability and superior ring seal - all blocks are magnafluxed and pressure tested to ensure no cracks or leaks, cam bearings and freeze plugs installed, ready to assemble. 
• Fully balanced rotating assembly for years of smooth operation and long bearing life.

Performance Specs:

• Rated at 1,200+ HP — recommended for large single or compound turbos, nitrous, and competition use. Proven in 9-second quarter-mile passes with supporting mods. Not ideal for towing.
