The Kill Devil Diesel 6.7 Powerstroke Builder Series

Engineered by engine builders, for engine builders, the Builder Series is designed for those who take pride in building their own engine but don’t want the uncertainty that comes with starting from scratch. We provide every critical component you need — all precision CNC-machined to the same uncompromising standards as our award-winning KDD engines — so you can assemble a powerhouse with confidence. Whether you’re chasing performance, reliability, or both, you’ll have our expert engineering behind you every step of the way.

Each Builder Series Engine package comes with a fully machined and prepped block ready to assemble, a balanced rotating assembly (crankshaft, pistons, pins, rings, bearings), KDD camshaft and lifter kit, chromoly pushrods, American made P1 or ARP head studs, complete gasket set, and our commitment to help support you throughout the assembly process.

S1 – Torque Series

For the owner who wants maximum reliability and torque for towing, daily driving, and longevity — without unnecessary complexity.

Features:

• KDD O-Ringed Cylinder Heads – Equipped with KDD's heavy-duty 100lb valve springs and Inconel valves for unmatched durability.

• P1/ARP Head Studs – Locks down your heads under high boost and heavy towing.

• Precision CNC Blueprint Machining – KDD Starts with a 100% new Genuine Ford Block which goes through our proprietary CNC bore, deck, torque plate hone, and align honing for ultimate durability and superior ring seal. Magnafluxed and pressure tested, cam bearings and freeze plugs installed — ready to assemble.

• Fully Balanced Rotating Assembly – For smooth operation and long bearing life.

• New 2020-Style Mahle Monotherm Steel Pistons with rings, bearings, and gaskets from a Tier 1 OEM supplier.
  

• USA-Made Valvetrain – S1 Torque Series Camshaft engineered for massive low-end torque, quicker spool-up, and lower EGTs. Includes new genuine Ford lifters, rockers and KDD chromoly pushrods.

• Genuine Ford Connecting Rods

Performance Specs:
Conservatively rated for 600+ HP — ideal for daily driving, frequent towing, and mild upgrades (recommended for stock to mild turbo/injector setups).

S2 – Sportsman Series (Builder Kit)

For those seeking stronger internals and higher performance without sacrificing street manners.

Features:

• CNC Ported KDD O-Ringed Cylinder Heads – KDD starts off with 100% brand new Genuine Ford castings which receive a full exhaust port and an partial intake port in a state of the art Centroid CNC Machine for improved airflow for lower EGT's, quicker turbo spool up, and more power!

• P1/ARP Head Studs – Locks down your heads with extra clamping power!

• KDD Proprietary Steel Piston Package – Forged steel pistons paired with USA-made Carrillo or Wagler H-beam connecting rods.

• Total Seal Gapless Rings – Maximum sealing under extreme conditions, less blow-by, and cleaner oil for long engine life.

• USA-Made Valvetrain – KDD S2 Sportsman Series Camshaft optimized for the 1000–4000 RPM range, New Genuine Ford lifters, chromoly pushrods, and updated Ford rocker arms with improved oiling.

• Precision CNC Blueprint Machining – KDD Starts with a 100% new Genuine Ford Block which goes through our proprietary CNC bore, deck, torque plate hone, and align honing for ultimate durability and superior ring seal. Magnafluxed and pressure tested, cam bearings and freeze plugs installed — ready to assemble.
• Fully Balanced Rotating Assembly – For long life and smooth operation.
• KDD Billet Main Girdle and P1/ARP Main Studs to secure the main caps under extreme load and high RPM. 

Performance Specs:
Rated for 1000+ HP — perfect for heavy towing, performance street builds, and occasional track use with supporting mods (ideal for upgraded VGT or moderate single turbos, small compound turbos).

S3 – Outlaw Series (Builder Kit)

Competition-ready 6.7 Powerstroke build for maximum power and strength.

Features:

• CNC Ported KDD O-Ringed Cylinder Heads – KDD starts off with 100% brand new Genuine Ford castings which receive a full port on intake and exhaust, featuring our proprietary billet intake plenum! Unparalleled airflow for lower EGT's, quicker turbo spool up, and maximum power! (S3 packages also receive KDD's proprietary extra deep valve seat profile to work with the our large s3 cams and steel pistons)

• P1 Heavy Duty or ARP 625 Series Head Studs – Extreme clamping for extreme boost.

• KDD Proprietary Steel Piston Package – Factory-style forged steel pistons + USA-made Wagler billet connecting rods.

• Total Seal Gapless Rings – Ultimate sealing in high-heat, high-boost environments - virtually eliminates blow-by, and reduces soot in the oil for longer engine life!

• S2 Billet Camshaft: Built for maximum power output while retaining drivability.   (Upgrade to S3 camshaft optional, will require additional valve recession to the cylinder heads)

• KDD Exclusive Jesel Valvetrain System – Forged steel shaft-mounted adjustable roller rockers + DLC-coated solid roller lifters, built for 6000+ RPM.

• Precision CNC Blueprint Machining – Same full process as S1/S2.

• Fully Balanced Rotating Assembly – For long bearing life and smooth operation

• Wagler Billet Main Caps and KDD Billet Girdle with P1/ARP main studs for the most bulletproof bottom end possible!

Performance Specs:
Rated for 1,500+ HP — ready for compounds, nitrous, and track passes. Best suited for competition builds, not recommended for towing.
