The S&S Diesel Motorsport Ford 6.7L Fuel Leak Prevention Kit may not be the first solution to market, but it is the correct solution that meets and exceeds the OEM filtration specifications. Ford's filtration is great, the problem lies with the plastic's durability. The billet aluminum LPK solves that real problem. Yet, the fuel system engineers at S&S are not going to create one problem by solving another. That's why we chose to forgo the OEM fuel filter cup altogether and use a two-post mount that allows for a much larger filter that retains the factory filtration spec of 4-mircon absolute at 99% efficiency and nearly double the dirt holding capacity (S&S 23 grams vs OEM 12 grams). Fixing one leak point while leaving another does not make sense, so the aluminum Fuel Leak Prevention Fitting for the injector return comes standard with all kits. That's the high-level summary of the LPK: it prevents fuel leaks without sacrificing filtration.
